I usually go to Avo or Italian Barrel

If I have a driver, it's Sal and Judy's.

But there are a lot of choices.

Going to Mosca’s for the first time this weekend and really looking forward to it.
New Orleans has a lot of quality Italian restaurants but if I had to pick just one it would be Vincent’s on St Charles.

I am not a sophisticated meal guy - but I could destroy anything on Tony Mandina’s menu.

I really like the food there and never had a service problem.

We ubered last time and had nice wine and great food.

I had Rizzuto’s with a customer at lunch in December and it was divine. I had the veal Parmesan and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely be back.

Irene's, Italian Barrel, Domenica, Pascal's

I loved Sal and Judy's if it's still around. My favourite "red gravy" in all of New Orleans area.

Still kicking. I’ve got a $150 gift card burning a hole in my wallet.

After trying several over the years, folks on here sent me to Vincent’s a few months ago and it was great. I do miss Mr Joe at 1179 (RIP).

Only saw a couple of venizias recommendations but it has always been delicious. I highly recommend.

I was one of the people who recommended Venezia's and as a native of N.O. I like to support family owned, locally owned businesses first. Especially ones that have been around for ages since you know they have to be doing something right in a city known for it's quality of food.

A little off topic here. I don't really care for most of the nationally known chains that have popped up and eventually disappear from our landscape. I've mostly been disappointed in the quality of their food the few times I've eaten at their restaurants.

What happened to it (Eleven 79), somebody die? I lived really close to it in 2002 or so and it was raging. The classiest cars were always dropping folks off.

I was (and still am) using a phone so typing 1179 is easier than Eleven79 (ha ha). I’m sure others will know exactly what happened but I was told (hearsay / third hand) that Mr Joe got sick, his daughter took over and then he died and she decided to close it. Again, I could be completely wrong.
