Nicer:

Avo

Midrange:

Irene's
Marecello's

Casual:

CIBO
Mona Lisa

Overall, if you want no-frills good red-sauced Italian food and you don't care about any decor or ambiance, CIBO on Carrollton is the best old-school Italian food in the city. It's a little deli looking place but makes NY style Italian.

If you are looking for the full-on dining experience I would pick Irene's (classic) or AVO (Italian with modern takes).

Mona Lisa is not the best italian in the city but it's still really good. I enjoy the ambiance located in the residential part of the FQ and also by some of my favorite pubs in the city.

I’m surprised Josephine Estelle hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Im here for it

If you enjoy homemade pastas, theyre doing it better than anyone else in the city imo. Order a bunch for the table and split an entree or two, forget about it
