You can find competent Italian food outside of Italy or areas with a ton of those immigrants.

Try finding competent Cajun food outside of Louisiana.

"Italian Food" can be many different things. We are talking a people with thousands of years of history and regions that were independent with their own culinary histories. You don't go to Venice and get pizza unless you're an idiot. Italy wasn't Italy until 1861 at the earliest.

So you have a very diverse cuisine that get's roped together into "Italian Food", and that's not even getting started on American Italian.

So of course its "better", when Cajun food is younger, much less diverse, and confined to a VERY small population and tradition.

Unless it is Olive Garden, and dog food is better than that "Italian food".

I'm Italian, and as bad as I want to agree with you I can't. They're both great foods, so I won't say one is better than the other, you can't really compare them. Cajun food imo is probably one of the only real-true American-regional cuisines.
