I don’t but if you take the shrimp, run 2 skewers through them, and pack them tight against one another you can cook them hot and fast like a steak with less chance of overcooking them. Marinate them in something or brush them with something as you cook.

I like to dip mine in nuoc cham, the seasoned fish sauce they give you at Vietnamese restaurants.

Season with Paul Prudhomme Seafood Magic, grill over a hot fire, when they just about done hit them with some fresh squeezed lime juice.

Lemon pepper
Cavenders
Light dab with bbq sauce once each side when over fire
Mix melted butter, soy sauce and crystal or louisiana hot sauce in a squeeze bottle and shoot it over both sides 2-3x.

If they are really fresh or good quality, don't over think it. You want to K.I.S. by using as few ingredients as possible.
Make a simple marinade out of olive oil, parsley, lemon zest, & garlic & maybe a little chopped oregano or thyme from the herb garden. Let them sit at least 30 minutes in the marinade.
Reserve some of the marinade & add th juice of the lemon. Toss the shrimp in when they come off the grill.

This is simple and delicious. Don’t let others on here trying to convince you otherwise. You’ve probably already figured out that everyone on here is a world-class chef.

What does bbq shrimp have to do with grilled shrimp? You can make what you’re suggesting on a stove top in a skillet.

You could make the sauce and baste the shrimp in it. Also, you could dip the grilled shrimp in the sauce.
I've never used that packet, but I could see where you could make a version of grilled bbq shrimp.

I’ve used this approach using the River Road packet to make a wet paste for chicken. I’m sure it would work with shrimp also.
