Is one negative thing enough to turn you away from a restaurant?

A couple of weeks ago my son's girlfriend and I stopped at Dark Roux for lunch/brunch. We'd been shopping and I was thirstier than I was hungry. When they asked for our drink order, I asked for unsweetened iced tea. Kumbucha tea was their ONLY tea choice! Wow. Is it just me, or is that a weirdly limiting choice? I said I'd just stick with the water they'd brought, but after perusing the menu, we decided to leave. (I left a tip, regardless.)
Actually, it was more than the tea. The only omelette they were offering that day was a squash and grape tomato one, and no bacon or ham or sausage was a part of the deal, and they don't allow any substitutions. I couldn't find anything on the menu that I could have that appealed to me that day. I don't hold a restaurant responsible for helping me eat low carb, but you can usually find interesting choices without them having to do a thing.
Opinions? I realize that some of you will think I'm being too picky.

Pretty dumb to have that limited of choices on a menu, especially for brunch, I would have left too.

They make great Bloody Marys, but we had more things to do afterwards, so I didn't want to indulge.

That Las Palmas iced tea incident is pretty much a deal breaker for me ever going there.

No comprende.
ETA: Oh, duh. Sorry, forgot about that. I had to search the F&DB to help me. Yeah, that is pretty bad.
There's a place in the town I grew up in that serves everybody's favorite burgers and shakes. My mother took her burger back one time to say that the bacon was underdone. When she got back home with her new burger, there was what appeared to be a big glob of spit on it.
Next time I was home she made sure I didn't use her name when placing the order. She didn't stop going, she just disguised her voice when phoning in her order! (The burgers were too good to stop, it seems.)

Their brunch menu looks pretty big albeit not low carb. The no tea thing is odd though.

The crawfish fried rice is very good! I'm not saying they don't have good food.
I would've ordered the burger and not eaten the bun or the fries, but it seemed like I was wasting money. I went home and made both of us delicious, made to order burgers. Hers with a toasted bun and some Zapps, mine with avocado, red onion, and sharp cheddar.

Changing menus. I'm pretty picky too. Especially in my everyday meals. You know just grabbing lunch etc. I have a specific dish that I am getting at each place.
2 shitty chains but ..... TGIFridays used to have a Citrus Grilled Chicken dish. It was awesome and about as healthy as you could get for that place. They took it off. We left. That was years ago. Also, as much mocking as Chillis deserves, they used to have the best Turkey and Swiss sandwich. They took it away and had some damned avocado turkey sandwich. Try eating something with avocado on it out of French bread? Entire contents of the sandwich are gonna shoot out the back of the sandwich.

I inspect the bathroom. If it is dirty, it is a sign of poor management.

Unless I'm going to a sports bar to check out a game, I don't want TV intruding on my meal, particularly with volume, and I ESPECIALLY HATE eating to nightly news whose prominent topics are murder, crimes, politics, etc...things I really don't care for while I'm eating. It seems like every sushi bar in the country now has a huge TV staring at you from behind the chefs. How 'bout playing some nice fitting ethnic music for me to enjoy?
Two specific examples come to mind. Ronnie's Ribs...one of my favorite late restaurants in Baton Rouge. At 5pm when the owner co-owner Jimmy came in from his day job, background reggae music was turned off in favor of blaring nightly news which is why I rarely found myself there for dinners.
Duang Tawan's example absolutely takes the cake. On their TV was some sort of documentary on WWII. Not only was the volume way too loud, but the subject matter and visuals included bombings, footage of dead bodies, herding up of sad faced Jews awaiting death, etc. I was so turned off that I couldn't eat more than a bite or two. Since I was in their house, I didn't ask them to change the channel or anything, but I did ask for my check, got out of there and never returned. Shame because they have good food.

quote:Restrooms are a good gauge of the restaurant. The restrooms are what the restaurant is willing to show you. If they haven't been tended to and are dirty, paint peeling, bad smell, why would the kitchen and your food be any different? In fact, it's probably a lot worse than the restrooms.

Why doesn't Blue Oak, a bbq restaurant, have sweet tea?

You guys are really militant about your teas
I prefer to drink sweat tea with a meal as well if I'm staying away from alcohol. You would think every restaurant in the south would have it.

I'm not from the south but I hate not finding sweet tea in other parts of the country. I've literally had someone say sweetening it yourself is the same thing.

Ask your server to have the bartender put a splash of simple syrup in the unsweetened tea. You can't tell the difference.

Loud, talkative shite employees. Essentially it comes down to having zero respect or little regard for the customer.
Basically, they make you feel like you interrupted their conversation and invaded their space by coming to eat at their restaurant.
To me, the only bigger FU to the customer is to spit in your food.

Crappy service is what would keep me from going back.

I've only had it a couple of times and couldn't drink more than a few sips. It's not really a thirst quencher.

Having no options that you are interested in and finding the menu unappealing? I don't see that as "One thing", I see that as "Everything"
