Will be staying at the Monteleone Feb 14-17 for an annual convention we have there. It's during the week leading up to Mardi Gras so of course it's always chaotic. In the past I've not really cared about the location much of where I make restaurant reservations but this year I'm just going for convenient and walkable.

So far I've booked Bayona and GW Fins. Thinking about just booking Mr B's one night too since it's right across from Monteleone. Is it still a solid option? Any other suggestions within walking distance? I'd rather not have to fight with crossing Canal if it all possible because of the parades on Wednesday and Thursday.

Mr. B's is great.

I like Deanie's and Redfish Gill too - both close and not crossing Canal

Some of the best service I've ever had at a restaurant.

Mr B's is a personal favorite of our family. Never had a bad meal, or any bad service there. Have laways been well treated. I undertsand there are fancier places, but IMO it has more than enough class for me.

They have a cold avocado soup there that is to die for. Not always on the menu, but when it is, it is really nice.

All of the items everyone has had are also good and reliable menu options.

Always enjoyed it. Had a meal there over the holidays and probably won't be back.

Poor service and food was mixed reviews across 8ppl. Braised short rib I ordered was dry as cotton. Needed a side of grits to slide it down. No one was impressed with their dishes and for the prices paid, not worth it.

My favorite is Galatoire’s.

It's been a few years, but the food was great as you'd expect. What I really remember was the service. Excellent and fun. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
