Good for what it is. Not usually worth the long waits, though.

Mike Andersons is very good if you enjoy food more than you do bitching about it. Ive learned that opinions on this board will be negative about almost anything because the people who write them suck miserably at life.

My grandmother LOVES Mike Anderson's... both of them do actually. So I end up there a decent amount for birthdays and what-not. It would never be my first choice but I've always found something I liked.

I definitely think Louisiana Lagniappe is better, and I'd also prefer Parrain's, but Mike Anderson's doesn't suck.

It also seems like a lot of North BR loves that place.

"but I have no idea how it stays as packed as it does"

its the same people who were waiting for their food last time you were there.
you could go there at 3 pm and wait 50 min for your order
most overrated place in BR

You like Chimes too? Sure. It's food, but there is nothing great about it.

What is so great about Mike Anderson's fried seafood that doesn't exist at Parrain's?
I'm sorry but fried seafood is fried seafood, and YES there is a difference in taste between restaurants but I have never found the fried seafood at Mike A's to be superior to that of Parrain's.

That's not true. I have given Mike A's ample opportunity to wow me. It's not disgusting, but it's not a gift from heaven either.

I pretty much wrote them off when two times in a row, I ordered out from there for lunch when the place was empty and they took over an hour with my food.

We used to got to Mike Anderson's when it was in an old house just outside LSU. They had the "ACE" on the menu. Shorts, sandals were common wear. Now he's gone all up scale and I don't think it suz, just not for me. If I want to enjoy my meal, not the finery of the building..

Mike Andersons has really good food. Nobody asked about parrains or Lagniappe. He asked about Mikes Andersons. People just wanna bitch on here. I'd love to see what you pathetic people look like.
