Aren't you older than Tom Selleck?
No. I'm a few years younger, but I have Brad Pitt's general style and appearance. I've been told many, many times that I have Selleck's wry smile and surprisingly, I have Magnum's witty and playful personality.

I had to read that twice.

I like Mike and I think the food is better than Parrains, but I can never figure out why you have to wait at least 30 minutes for a table, even if it's empty. That tends to annoy me, so I've quit going. Plus, they're awfully proud of their food and charge accordingly. They do make some good fried shrimp and catfish, and if that's what you're really hungry for, it's as good as any other in BR OR NO. Maybe that's why it attracts so many people from North Baton Rouge?

I definitely think Louisiana Lagniappe is better, and I'd also prefer Parrain's, but Mike Anderson's doesn't suck.

I'm not a big fan of fried seafood either, I'd love to be, but for health reasons...nah. But MA's is no different than a lot of other places in BR, go and enjoy if you like it fried. Keep in mind the demographics of this board are fairly young, that's why you see a lot of pizza, taco, hamburger threads. Most of the posters only go to places without a drive up window when dad in paying.

No. It's like Ralph and Kacoo's and all the other predictable, pathetic fried seafood joints in and around BR - an area that is supposedly famous for its seafood and the cultured liking and appreciation of it by its denizens.

I find that mike andersons is good for you and one or two buddies to go eat oysters and drink. That is it.

I like Mike Anderson's, but they went through a period (and may still be in it) where the consistency of freshness and quality went down.

+1 on the Gonzales location being better.

There is most definitely a difference between good and bad fried seafood. The freshness of the batter, the seasoning of the batter, the type of batter used with each type of seafood, the age and type of oil used, the temperature that the food is cooked in. I understand if you aren't a big fan of fried seafood, but if you DO like it, at least occassionally, it's nice when it's done properly.

I'm a big fan of Mike's cole slaw, believe it or not. And the Guitreau is a wonderfully tasty, though extremely unhealthy, way to serve fish!

Oh no. If we're comparing Mike's to Parrain's, Parrain's is my favorite coleslaw on earth!

How old are you? 16? Come on dude.

Wouldn't you be intrigued to see who everyone is? Not in a creepy way. Just to see who you are conversing with.

It depends on what how you like your seafood. I like broiled fish and they actually have a few decent dishes. have I had better, Yes. Overall its not bad. Is it the best in BR? that is very debatable. I much prefer sammy's.
