i like when i have to wait because i know they are fresh. When i pull up and no one is in line and my order is ready as soon as i get to the window i know it wont be up to par.

Come on man, you make ONE product!?!
Because if they gave you cold chicken then you would be on here bitching about the "product" being cold.

I know that sounds good to the customer that you're getting super fresh food, but damn that seems like a waste of money and food to just toss out chicken like that. There's no telling how much they throw out a day doing that.
I totally agree. My friend said the workers weren't even allowed to keep some and eat it later either. They just throw it in the trash if they make too much.
But because of this, they rarely make more than they need. That's why your order takes so long.. they only make it as you order it so they don't have to throw any out.

This. My buddies sister works there, and she said that they throw all kind of shite away, and lock the dumpster at times to keep hobos out. They can't take anything home, and aren't supposed to eat it while there. During the day it can't sit more than a few minutes after being cooked either.

The first one one State/Highland used to take way longer. Place was ridiculous. When the line is going out into the street and wrapping to a point literally about 3 cars from ending where you exit the drive through, then just go get some Wendy's down the street.

How fresh are those yummy French Fries they serve?
Posted on 4/6/11 at 3:08 pm to TigerGman
Fresh cut French fries are harder to cook. I'd rather good frozen fries that fricked up fresh fries.

Cane's has a great business model and wonderful employees...I stopped eating Cane's (along with all fast food) years ago. Also - it's gross.

Firing up the fryer for every order. Steaming styrofoam carcinogens into the air and food. Throwing away perfectly good eats with starving children in Libya.
Canes is not a good green-friendly business.

Dude, you're getting canes sauce all over your phone. Wash your hands first.

it's like half ketchup, half mustard, red pepper and thousand island dressing
and everybody here thinks todd is such a genius, but there's a chain in florida called zaxby's that's the exact same thing, same sauce and everything

The real question is, why are you getting canes at almost 3 in the afternoon anyways?

15 lbs. Mayo (Kraft)
3 No. 10 cans Ketchup (Heinz)
40 oz. Worcestershire sauce (can't remember the brand, but not L&P)
2 oz. Black pepper (forget what spice house they used, but pepper's pepper)
2 oz. Garlic powder (ditto)
Converting Mayo at 220 g/cup, and the #10 can at 12 cups (both are subject to debate), a workable recipe is:
3/4 c. Mayo
1/4 c. Ketchup
5 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
One of the reasons that everyone claims that every recipe they try is not quite it is that they make the sauce then eat it. Cane's won't use it until it has sat for 24 hrs. to let the flavors meld. Trust me, this IS Cane's Sauce!
I miss having cane's. I don't miss the lbs i've lost though

Everyone knows Canes stole the secret sauce from All American Burger, its Thousand Island dressing.

8 minutes to cook. During rushes, they'll drop based on how deep the counter line is, and how many cars are in line. There aren't heat lamps, but some stores do have baskets that blow hot air to keep product warm before it's boxed...it never sits for more than a few minutes though.
