Is Fat Boy's Pizza worth it?

I recently came through the area and tried it out. I wasn't overly impressed and thought it was a bit expensive. Management and staff seemed very nice though I was just trying to get the communities thoughts on them and if there are any other suggestions for good pies in the area.

For what its worth, i went once and had a similar experience. The pizza was not that good and its pricey. I think i paid 10 dollars for a pretzel! I dont plan on going back. Too many other better options.

The pizza is mediocre at best. We bring the kids every now and then because they enjoy it. It’s fine for what it is.

Fat Boys is having an advertising campaign on Facebook to be voted Best Pizza on Gambit's annual Best of New Orleans poll.
I read some of the comments and there was not one negative comment. I left a comment saying that Fat Boys is not bad, but there are a half dozen better pizzas. My comment was deleted about 5 minutes after I posted it. Lol.

If they cooked the pizza longer to have a better crisp it would be a decent slice. But they don’t, so it’s not.

I ordered the 30” pizza for the family a couple weeks back. Got the meats on half and was very surprised at how little meat was on it.
My three kids did get a big kick out of how big it was though.

yeah it seems the size is really the only thing going for them. Price seemed high and service seemed good but not 12 dollars for a slice and drink good.

Try Phat Boyz Pizza on Greenwell Springs by Monterrey. Service not very good, but product is excellent.

I’ve wondered how Fat Boys could open in the same city as Phat Boyz. I guess Phat Boyz didn’t raise a stink.

Likewise. Although there's a significant dip in quality when buying the single slice vs the whole pie. But their Trinity and BBQ Chicken pizzas are really good.
