It has bacon too. Not sure why there was a need to specify a bacon Cobb salad.

This.

And another thing...

Suppose someone has never had a cobb salad before. Why wouldn't they describe it accurately?

What kind of sorcery is this?

Really? It is breaded with light bread crumbs and oven baked

I'm not suggesting they don't exist.

Google images would lead me to expect shrimp on a Cobb.

I’ve eaten a ton of Cobb Salads... and not one, ever, had fried chicken.

Yes I would have been surprised and likely sent it back for either grilled or another salad.

The menu description should connate the chicken being fried. Period.

Never heard of that. Seems a silly thing to do.

Per Wikipedia:

quote:

The Cobb salad is a main-dish American garden salad typically made with chopped salad greens (iceberg lettuce, watercress, endives and romaine lettuce), tomato, crisp bacon, boiled, grilled or roasted (but not fried) chicken breast, hard-boiled eggs, avocado, chives, Roquefort cheese, and red-wine vinaigrette.

It specifically says, "boiled, grilled or roasted (but not fried) chicken breast".

I don't have a problem with restaurants doing their take on a traditional recipe, but they should make sure to include the differences in the description. I have seen cobb salads with nuts in them for example. That could cause a problem for someone with allergies.

I would be surprised too, depending on the restaurant.
