Ive never had it. Youre pretty on his nuts about this little tuna salad tidbit. Not everyone eats garbage meat or fish out of a can
No big deal. I just do not know many people that do not eat a tuna sandwich on occasion.

i just said it has no nutritional value. Not really bad.
Anything can be twisted into having some nutritional value. But the limited tthing you can get from corn, you can get from more well rounded food sources.

Pretty good Mo Isom thread on the OT if you're interested.

Yeah. We have spent our day talking about canned chicken.
I figured changing the topic to canned tuna might make the day go by a little faster.

I am a pretty trashy guy. I shop at Wal-mart, local Mexican stores, Dollar-General/Store/Tree, and I have never seen that. Ever.

I get that but is it that crazy that someone doesnt eat it that you need to ask them 3 times whether they eat it or not?
Personally, I will enjoy canned tuna salad every once in a while, but I'm not offended by those who don't.

an article from a Paleo inspired magazine.

Not me. We grew up eating tuna salad during Lent and I still have it on Fridays sometimes. We ate on lettuce, on white bread, on crackers or by dipping fritos in it. Have some bags in my pantry right now awaiting the Friday that I desire it. Add some chopped hard boiled eggs, finely chopped onion, dill and sweet relish, chopped celery, mayo and *freshly cracked* pepper and I'm in bidness. Sometimes, depending on where I am, I might pick up a small tub from Langenstein's or Calvin's.
I've never had canned chicken and the likelihood that I ever will is zero. I'm not a big chicken fan with a few exceptions. Looking at that Sue whatever chicken makes me ill.

Rotisserie chicken is $5. How the hell is that ridiculous?

So this thread has proven to be very entertaining. In all seriousness, I'd cook fresh chicken off when I have time, then vacuum seal it in food saver pouches with homemade lentils, red beans, corn, virtually anything. If the contents are at all wet, stand the open bag up in the freezer until frozen, then vacuum seal it. You can make up a whole bunch of portion sized meals for future use by just pulling them out of the freezer and dropping them into hot water (150 degrees or so) until hot.
And there you have it, a ready to eat, one portion home cooked meal at your fingertips which competes with canned chicken as far as price point.
