Kind of why I considered posting on the Travel Board instead. Lots less of the “if it isn’t a truck stop lunch counter then it’s garbage” crowd.

To the contrary, please post it here. I enjoy the baws getting strung out over anyone daring to depart from tex mex/steakhouse territory.

Damn good looking food. Very jealous.

Nah man, keep it coming. Some of us here actually appreciate a great dining experience.

Just make sure you come back with a review.

For the most part, I really don't get places like this. Maybe it's just a bit over my head I love fine dining and have lot's of memorable meals at restaurants...but high dollar plates like this...I just don't get it. None-the-less you seem pumped as does everyone else on here....so enjoy your thing

Tickets is not as high dollar as you think. It is Tapas and you can choose a la carte or you can just have them bring you stuff. Each dish (most of which that will be a single bite) average about 6 euros.

So you could make it as expensive or as inexpensive as you want. Drinks aren't very expensive either. I see most people average about 100Euros a person, with drinks. So spending about 230 bucks on a couple for a meal of that quality is not bad at ALL for a famous, world class, Michelin Star place.

And if you order yourself you could probably get out of there for even cheaper.

In comparison, his newer restaurant that is tasting menu only, Enigma, starts at a tasting menu of 220 Euros per person, and that does NOT include alcohol, which if you want the pairing is an additional 90 Euros.

So yeah, it is a bargain by comparison.

Also, if you have Netflix, watch the Chef's Table episode on Albert Adria, I think you will get a sense of what this is all about.

I've been wanting to watch chefs table for awhile now, but wife isnt into it so would have to be an after she passes out during the movie she picks show

And what you described really isnt bad. I think for that price I'd be willing to try to say I tried....but honestly for my money, I'm just more of an amazing plate of fresh unique seafood, or amazing cut and prep of beef kinda diner.

Wow that’s an insanely cheap price for what you’re getting. Easily worth it for the experience.

Tickets was fantastic. My wife and I went in April and told the server to just pick our dishes and keep them coming. They designed a tasting for us and I believe including dessert we had around 20 different dishes. They started us with a cava and gave us 3-4 dishes designed per glass. Then we moved to a white and a red. We wrote in prior asking to go to the dessert room and brought it back up when we arrived but they already had us on the list to go after the meal. I recommend trying to get a spot in there if you can.

Cellarer wine bar was also great and didn’t require a reservation.

Looks great.

Regarding the negative comment, consider it like a chimp slinging poo from their cage to see if they can hit someone.

Would love to make it there someday. I guess someday needs to be soon. I am sure you and the wife will enjoy your trip.

We actually had all of the dishes you posted. The last one you posted is actually in the dresser room. You just eat that little clear peddle in the middle of the rose. Try the liquid olive. It is so weird texturily but so tasty. If you haven’t watched it before (which I’m guessing you have since you referenced El Bulli) watch the El Bulli episode of no reservations. It shows a bit of the prep work and making of a few dishes. It ran us €300

That's the episode that got me interested in and into molecular gastronomy. Blew my mind.

Just FYI the liquid olive, and similar sphereifications, can be found lots of places now. Jaleo in DC has it.
