Grill Dome uses all stainless steel hardware, so it will never rust. Seems the best to me.

That looks like a grill dome to me...BGEs are green

Hmm...well, it came up on a google search for Big Green Egg Cart. Plus we sell that exact setup at our store and they are for the BGE. I guess it could hold a Grill Dome though. For the sake of this conversation, let's assume it's a BGE (because that is my recommendation)

i'd consider buying your used if you were ready to make the move to the grill dome

Rouge, I like the Oval Jr enough to keep it. I think the more efficient oval shape of the Primo and the Stainless hardware on the Grilldome both offer advantages over the BGE and Kamado. My Primo has superficial rust on some of the bolts after about 4 years. The handle, hinge and reinforcing bands around the ceramic kettles are metal-some are painted and some are not. I suppose some rustoleum paint on the exposed bolts would prevent rust. One feature of the Oval that I like and other brands do not offer is the firebox separator metal plate which I use frequently. It saves me charcoal when I am smoking but costs a ridiculous $30, for what it is-just a thick iron plate. Plan on building a custom bench for any ceramic grill. The benches made by the manufacturers cost around $400 and are not worth the cost.

There's a decent amount of metal on it. They only warranty the hinges and metal bits for 5 years. After going through a few pits in Louisiana moisture, stainless steel seems like a worthy upgrade.

If you wanted, could you cook strictly off of wood?

i have to admit that the Big Steel Keg, AKA Bubba Keg, looks pretty good as well

it has a little more work to get it ready for grilling, but i really like the trailer hitch feature
