Typical Baton Rouge. Something has a shelf life for the "right people" for about six months, max.

I used to enjoy going to siegen village, they never had anybody there and certainly not a bunch of teeny boppers. It was also the only theater in town that played some indie films. I now only go to grand cinema. It's not a cool, hip place to watch a movie, so there are very few teeny boppers/thugs.

I really wish they would re-open (after a little remodeling of course) the broadmoor theater and show indie flicks there. That would be nice since I live a few blocks away.

It's sad BR has no ability to embrace something sort of classic, like that place.

I think I saw about every Disney movie there.

i don't know guys. i go to perkins rowe a good bit and i must say it is usually 99% white. i would think with expensive chains (tdb, cali pizza, kona, fish city, etc) and the expenve boutiques that most "urban" members would not venture into the rowe

It really can't. If it's not bright, new, and shiny they will pass on it for something that is.

the broadmoor theatre, the gordon theatre, and the paramount theatre were old school theatres here back in the day .. but one by one they went by the wayside .. more to do with the parts of town they were in .. but don't get me started on this fricking city and how we kick history out the door everytime jack in the box wants to spring up on a corner ..

Was it also called the Hart?

I think I saw Star Wars there, before they tore it down.

How do I get some of these coupons?

In addition to checking here, you can also go to the TDeB website and sign up for thier E-mail newletter. They'll send you E-mails with the coupons...I've recieved one like that...haven't printed and use it yet though.
