Get a cheap electric coffee grinder and buy some whole beans. The stores that sale the sled serve whole beans have great selections and it tastes much fresher when you grind the beans yourself

Peet’s Kenya AA Auction lot

I tend to drink medium roasts, bc more caffeine. French Truck Guatemalan Huehuetenango, Community Cafe Special or Breakfast blend.

I have a subscription on Trade coffee. They send out something different every couple weeks, and it’s all been great

If you have a roaster local to you, give them a try.

Otherwise, I’ve mostly enjoyed my orders from Fresh Roasted Coffee.

I’m currently using some beans from Hey Cafe in New Orleans.

Buy from a local shop.

Support locally-owned businesses.

We get all our coffee beans from Kyle's Coffee. Local coffee shop here in town.

I’ve been staying at a Holiday Inn Express a lot lately, and their coffee machines use Costa coffee beans that are ground and made by the cup- it’s pretty good coffee with a heathy dose of half & half and a Splenda packet.

Depends on what you want to spend.

Best values that we've found (all from Costco) are Mount Comfort, Kirkland Organic Peru, or Ruta Maya. (All can usually be found for <$9/lb; compared to some of the better fresh/local roasts that are between $12/lb-$18/lb.

If you're in BR/St. George and interested in something local; check out Next Chapter Coffee Co. and get some Blue Rabbit bread while you're there.

Starbucks is dogshit. Community is fermented dogshit.

Reve coffee is good in Lafayette. French Truck is my go to from Nola & Rhino coffee (Crash) is excellent from Shreveport.
Also Starbucks beans are NOT dogshit. They have some excellent roasts for mainstream, including their single origins & their 1971 Roast more recently.

Ah, I see you're location says Central Alabama in your profile. I've always heard that some of the local roasters out of Birmingham have excellent coffee.

If you’re in BR, CafeCiteaux is very good. French Truck is as well. If you’re on the south side of town, hit up Next Chapter for her roast on Saturdays.

There is also Reve in town now too.

Cheaper option is the Kirkland Ethiopian beans.

I tend to float b/w the country origins within the brands to keep it “fresh” so to speak.

I recently ended up with a bag of Community Dark and Bold Intense as a result of a delivery mistake. I never drink Community, but have enjoyed the heck out of this.
