I bought some no name charcoal like I usually do from the closest store. I last used Royal Oak and it started like a champ. This no name stuff takes forever to light! Who knew it made a difference, it looks the same?

Get you a chimney starter and some of them tumbleweed things and you could light a pair of wet drawers if you needed to

Briquettes is what I was using and I do use a chimney starter. It still took 30 minutes with the cheap brand. 10 or 15 minutes with Royal Oak.

I knocked the dust off mine a few weeks ago. Been putting everything in it from peanut butter to a turkey sandwich. Makes everything better!

Damn your Dad didn’t take you outside and make you light the grill every time from the time you were about 12 until you could do it reliably?

When you can't get it started, take a piece of paper, roll it up, light it and put it on the coals. Its a little trick I learned it in the Korean Conflict.
