There's only on Cane's in Knoxville (so far) and they put out a consistently good product. Prices are high, but fast food prices are high just about everywhere.

A second location will be opening soon (right next to Walk-On's ) so maybe they will be less consistent.

It's not terrible. It feels like a box combo is the equivalent of a single chicken breast. More batter than chicken. Drink and sides added in makes it up to $15 for a damn meal.

I think the chicken is still really good. I still like the sauce, too. The size of the fingers seems to be hit or miss. I do agree that the price/value is a bit out of line but they'll charge what people will pay, and people keep paying it. The fries are terrible now. I will duck, but I don't really eat the slaw or bread. When I have occasionally had the slaw recently, it was okay.

For best value on fingers and fries, you have to find a good gas station. It's really not Brother's anymore either. Brother's has really fallen. Just my opinion, though. In Metairie, get chicken from the corner of W Napoleon and Transcontinental - they have a good breakfast burrito, too.

You posted this same thread a month ago.

Canes is all about the sauce, I get that. The tenders are breaded in plain flour, to me that is not great. I want some seasoning when I eat fried chicken.

I like Canes and always have. It simply doesn't matter to me what other people like or don't like. Easy as that.

It’s the edgy way to be here for whatever reason.

Cane’s is great for what it is. I have no real complaints.

It isn’t Popeyes. Apples and Oranges to me.

What is not to understand, even if you don’t agree. The board normally says overpriced, small pieces, lack of flavor.

Jmo but if you need sauce to be the winner of a meal…

Cane's tenders come from a specific supplier, a special breed of chicken. They only get 2 tenders from each chicken, I don't think they are ever frozen.

Everyone hates on Cane's because the portion sizes shrank at the same time prices were being jacked up. You used to get full size chicken tenderloins and now it's about 1/3 of the size it used to be while over double the price. It's no longer a value, people can eat better for less at other places.

It’s unfortunate that Louisiana doesn’t have Braums. Their chicken strips are incredible and come with a similar sauce and gravy. Better fries and you wash it down with a homemade limeade.

I have no 'hate' towards Raising Cane's...... I used to be a YUGE Cane's fan.

Sometime during the mid to late Covidian time period, the quality of their tender went to cr*p. You are correct, Mr Graves has done several things right (customer service, sauce, etc.). However, to me, the most important factor is the chicken tender and in my opinion their quality remains poor.

Same. I’ve only had it when someone brought it to a party or something, Have never gone to a Cane’s myself.

It’s not like I’m a vegan or health nut, but I only eat fast food a couple of times a year, usually when on the road with little choice. It amazes me when I see the lines of cars wrapped around the building at those places and the passionate discussions of chicken tenders on the F&D Board.

That said, I’m about ready for some Southern Classic fried chicken.

Ask for some honey mustard. It's not on the menu, but is fire.

Also, they have the best tasting Texas Toast I've ever had. And I've had A LOT of Texas Toast in my day.

And I agree,
They have become smaller. Or you get smaller ones more times than not.

But still don’t think that is a whole tender.
