As are most good restaurants. As are hotels, airports, beach condos, and mountain resorts. Next the OP is going to report in from Home Depot at 8:45 and let us know that it’s not crowded there either.

Not hard when the govt is stealing our money to fund all this shite for the foreign invaders

Wanted to add….

Went out tonight with my lady and also went to a steakhouse however it was a higher end one.

Total # of tables in the joint: 14
Total # of tables with people at the tables: 6

Not sure what to take from this but we’re clearly in different cities, very different restaurants, Friday evening and it’s summer. You may be onto something here baw.

One other thing - my Rez was for 8pm. Lady was running late as many women do ( ) so I called to push back the Rez by 15 mins. Gal on the phone said “no problem, we’re not busy right now”

People are on vacation during the hot months. Yes. The economy is doing poorly but the summer months are always slow in the restaurant/bar business.

I'm retired, but I work part time at Sebring International Raceway baby sitting Ferrari's , Lamborghini's, Porsche's, BMW's, IMSA LMPh and GT3's, you name it. I've been there seven years and this Summer I've already had more days off than the last seven combined.

People are either running out of money or they are just not spending it. It's real!

Champ car is running next weekend. They regularly get over 50 cars for an event. It will be interesting to see the car count.

This place is always packed on Friday nights

I’m here right now.. no wait and the restaurant is empty. Our server told us it’s been like this for the past month and it’s been brutally slow.

Is it really that bad out there that people can’t even afford Longhorn Steakhouse?

Eventually the consumer has to make choices on how to spend their money when shite gets tight, the discretionary spending for eating out frequently is the first to be whacked.

Sebring will likely have a good turnout, like Daytona and The Glen, but they have been seeing lower car counts and dropping races for several years now. The Glen didn't sell out for the first time ever and last I saw Sebring wasn't either.

With them it's more shite management although the economy does play a role obviously.

I was going to post this as well, but it looks like he maybe lives in Eastern time so it would be 7pm. So just the start of rush on a Friday.

ETA. Down voters never worked in the restaurant/bar business.
Yeah, the economy sucks for sure but summer is called 'slow season' in the industry for a reason. Many people prefer to grill and drink at home or the lake or whatever during summer. A lot of places even cut staff between Father's Day and Labor Day.

It’s something I’ve noticed ever since the libs stole the election.

Go out to eat, and see how many people are at restaurants. They are all practically empty, because the economy is a fricking joke. When Trump was in office restaurants were doing great, now they are all empty and at risk of going out of business.

I am sitting across from him. There are nine peanut shells on the floor; two are poorly cracked with remants of good peanut left inside. One half husk is turned open side down, the half shell looks strangely like a,…..a face,…..long and bearded face. Two black dots on the face like piercing soulless eyes,….reminds me of a photo of Rasputin.
