Boys in the middle east have cheap gas, but beer, nosomuch.

The price of a pint of beer varies from city to city.
Deutsche Bank analyzed the price of beer in 50 cities worldwide and found Dubai was the most expensive, with the average pint costing $12.
New York City and San Francisco were close behind, while the least expensive beer can be found in Manila at just $1.50 a pint.

Deutsche Bank recently released its annual "Mapping the World's Prices" series, which compares the cost of everything from iPhones to sneakers in 50 cities around the world.

I just went to Prague, Budapest, and a few other central/Eastern European cities this summer

I can confirm that their beer is cheap. Honestly beer was less expensive than any other drink, including water, at a lot of restaurants in Prague.

I was in Japan last spring and it was closer to $9-12/pint for most things other than the Japanese equivalent of BMC.

$6.70 in Boston would get you a bud light at most places. Maybe a step above. Any decent beer is usually $8+.

Beer is literally cheaper (and colder) than water in Prague and that sounds great until you're dying of dehydration due to a hangover caused by going out till 6am and then watching the sun come up on the Charles Bridge. The only thing to do at that point is to start drinking all over again. It's how they get you.

I was in Helsinki 2 years ago and a basic lager cost $10. So I'm not sure how this poll shows the avg at $6.70......same with Copenhagen. Regular lager costs about $10 there too. And I was in non-tourist areas so it wasn't the tourist markup.

Are we using what Americans call a pint, 16oz, or what the Euros call a pint, 20oz?
