I popped my c-note cherry at Kincaids in DC back in 1997. Great meal.

I've done it plenty of times, but I find it hard to believe you have spent $80,000 on dining on date nights

Glass is our resident baller. (eta, although, I think coolpapaboze could probably give him a run for his money)

He's legit.

You've inspired me to start another thread on a slightly different topic.

He's an old money baller as well. Way too legit to quit.

I am almost forty five. Between 26 and 42 I probably did it on average of once a week. That is about 706 times. Make it $141,200.

You mentioned that 30th birthday party at Clancy's where you had the entire bottom floor (I forget the cost)...

What did you do for your 40th?!

Funnest night not involving any illegal activity of my life. Let's put it this way; the tip was over two grand. That American Express billed sucked. I had to sell some stock to pay for it.

Went to NYC six weeks after to the US Open tennis tournament.

Maybe so... I figured I do 100-150 once a month or so. So figured even had you done 200 once a month it would still take you over 30 years

If you include wine, I do this at least once a weeek - most weeks twice.

But that is how I roll

I'm 46 and if you include wine I can guarantee I'm in that market. It's what I spend my money on and like to do in addition to cooking and entertaining myself.

You can fill your coffin with your cash but I'm not sure heavens ecomony is based on the American dollar. Spend it while you're here.

+1

I haven't made it to thirty yet, and I'd guestimate that I would be somewhere around the 20-30k mark for dining out. It's what I do. Love trying new places, foods, wines, beers, schotch, and bourbons. I might not have quite as many tangibles or as nice a home as a guy in my similar financial situation, but
I have some good times. I don't have to sit in my home on Friday and Saturday night and say, "I really like my house, but I wish I could afford to go out to a nice place tonight".

Why would you make me try and count something like that. Hundreds? I spend most of my money on boat gas and food.

ETA: Including wine/drinks?
