How is The Bulldog in BR doing these days with all the recent nationwide brewery closures?

Years ago you’d see this place mentioned a lot more on here. I know they are not a brewery but they had so many beers on tap. I want to say close to 80 or so.
I recall pint night (think it was Wednesday evening) about 10-15 years ago bring jammed packed. They would always be the first ones in the city to get the harder to find beers.

Trolling or not, I stopped by Bulldog on Magazine right before Saints game started and it was absolutely empty on a beautiful day. First time I've been there in 7-8 years.
They were also out of many beers with a very meh draft list for what it is. I enjoyed not having many people in the courtyard but made me wonder how much longer this place has left.

the Bulldog is not going anywhere
they are doing fine
Mid City Beer Garden is doing well and is a similar concept and both of these have good markets around them to sustain it
the local breweries are starting to market correct - Istrouma, Tin Roof, and Agile have all shut down
Cypress Coast and Rally Cap seem to be doing alright, Cypress Coast just recently hit their 6th anniversary
they are doing fine

I’ve noticed that too. The mid city one is even worse and surely will close soon. Breweries and places like Tchoup yard are the nail in their coffin.

They are dark and grungy and haven't pivoted enough into other alcohol sales. Beer has obviously lost a ton of popularity. Hot chicks wont even sniff beer anymore, and without even a little hot chicks, your bar is toast, or a full dive.

The Mid-City Bulldog is almost always empty. Not sure how it is surviving. I'd really hate to see it close because I live close by, but they do not seem to be doing anything to get people in there.

That’s because they were stricter covid nazis than almost anyone else, and continued being nazis long after everyone else loosened up.

The bartenders don't have a sense of urgency. In a job that relies heavily on tips, I'm surprised at how leisurely (most) modern bartenders perform their duties.

I was thinking of the Bulldog in BR on Perkins, not the one in Mid City NOLA.,My mistake.
