Wanting to boil some soon, but I don't want to waste my time on them if they're too small. Are they pretty good size now or should I wait a few more weeks?

Berrytown in Hammond says they have jumbos.

If you wait a few more weeks the season may be over.

I did some in mid October last year. Pretty sure they freeze them as soon as they're processed so I'd imagine they'll be available for a while.

I think they freeze them to prevent a toxic mold growth that can grow on them. Or maybe they just refrigerate them. Can't remember.

You need fresh dug peanuts if you’re boiling them. The shells of the frozen ones lose moisture and take longer to boil.

I did some from Southside on Perkins not long ago and they were decent size. I mistakenly said Fresh Pickens earlier.

I get a bushel every year from Georgia and freeze them in 2 gallon Ziploc bags. I pull out what I need on Saturday mornings, place in a large stainless steel bowl and let soak in water until defrosted. I use a pressure cooker 6qt?, fill up to line with water, add 6 tablespoons of Zatarain's crab boil powder, 3 tablespoons of minced garlic and 3 tablespoons of tabasco pepper pulp. Then add peanuts and stir, place on burner outside, when is starts to steam set timer for 30 minutes. Turn off and let steam down naturally, remove lid and dip them out into paper bowls. Eat while watching LSU play and drinking beer.
Perfect every time.

Perfect Timing, my buddy called yesterday before I left work to tell me he was 15 minutes out. Got my fresh bushel yesterday with a harvest date of 9-24-21. hardyfarmspeanuts.com if you are interested
Boiled up a pot and bagged the rest to put in the freezer.
Ready for Saturday games.
