1. New Orleans has some great food.

2. Houston is MUCH bigger, with a broader and more-diverse population and a more-affluent diner base. Of course it has more choices.

More choices means “better” in my epicurean handbook.

Had BBQ at the Rodeo Cookoff yesterday, Mala Sichuan for dinner, and had breakfast tacos this morning. Come at me.

In unrelated news I was on the shitter for long time this morning.

This pretty much epitomizes Htown , aka their sad excuse for a crawfish boil. It’s so cringy, it’s cringy

Cooking a big pot of homemade beef stew.

Why?

Having an outdoor wine tasting during a beautiful day is a sad excuse to also have a crawfish boil to accompany it?

I would think this is a Rouses commercial if they didn't include any names or logos.

Let’s see, using tongs, more corn than crawfish (WTF) and wine with a crawfish boil.

corn from a crawfish boil is great
The guy also said they boiled 300 lbs of crawfish. Wine is less filling, that's a good tactic.

No you wouldn’t. No body who does crawfish right uses paper plates and tongs to serve them.

So, just to be clear ....... crystal clear. This HEB/Houston crawfish boil is better than a La crawfish boil.

It's sad for a metro population 7x's the size that this is even a comparison.

It's sadder that it might not even be true.

Houston has a great overall food scene

NOLA has a better density of great restaurants

You won't have to drive 45 minutes to get to a restaurant in the entire NOLA metro area unless it's rush hour traffic
