I have been getting breaded hot for over 20 years. It was probably one of the first places I really had wings like that so if I am going to Hooters it will be breaded. Anywhere else almost always naked.

Did they change the wings? I used to like them, but I got some around 3 or 4 months ago after not having them in awhile, and they were not very good and seemed different.

I've only ever had breaded, but it's been 10 or 15 years since I've been to Hooter's. I got to point where I liked their Buffalo chicken sandwich better than their wings.

I like them both ways. My grandpa use to fry unbreaded chicken, it was one of my favorite things that he cooked.

maybe so. I used to love Hooters wings.
Last 2 times i've gotten them they've been pretty shitty.

The Daytona wings are good, and the hot buffalo sauce is still great on the shrimp or the sandwich, but the hot buffalo wings have been arse lately. Maybe they changed their oil they fry them in or something.
They are still smaller than anyone elses in town, easily.
I could eat 20 hooters wings and feel like i could eat another 20. pretty much anywhere else i get wings from, pluckers (not anymore), wingstop, Just Winging it, i get 15 and i'm full.

The Saturday that I went to the Hooters on Siegen to get my wings, the worker talent was depressing and the unattractive bartender chick was a swindler. She only cost me a few extra bucks, so I just let it go...Hope that's not the norm there now.

My sister in law is a manager/bartender at a place here in Kingwood that had some ballin wings. Always big. The supplier that they get wings from hasnt had them in months along with other things so they had to get some shitty small wings. I suspect this is the case with a bunch of places. This isnt a wing place though so it may be different with the big wing places.

I could be wrong, but didn't Hooters used to only offer their standard breaded wings way back years ago?

Like you, I had only ever had wings like that from there (we ate there when I was a kid sometimes). Once I tried traditional non-breaded wings and then Hooters started offering naked, I switched to that.

I should get the old breaded ones with medium sauce like I did as a kid just for nostalgia's sake.

Yes, there have been a few recent articles on chicken shortages, specifically wings.

They only had breaded on the menu, but you could still order them naked and they'd make them that way for you.

Smoked medium is their best wing. Naked garlic habanero is a close second.
