Just curious as to what all of the better festivals are in the area?

Prepare to have some SJW with a neck beard explain to you why you hate kids with cancer.

My wristband was working, and I wish I could've donated the leftover money to the charity. No way to do that ($110)

I believe if you don’t ask for a refund of the money on your band, that it essentially gets donated to Hogs.

That’s how it was last year, but the website states it is automatic this year. Probably got complaints about it not being automatic last year.

It will be refunded, less a $3 fee.

I had $2 left. Let's see how this plays out.

Isn’t the festival a totally separate entity from the charity?

I’ve never been, but this system with a wrist band (like Disney World) sounds like a headache waiting to happen. What’s so wrong with cash and credit/debit cards? Everyone else does it and it’s hassle free.

I’d be legit pissed if I put money on a wrist band that I couldn’t use at a festival. Charity or not, and I would think this Charity/Festival should feel the same way.

Disney makes it work because they’re Disney.

If Jazz Fest can make cash and credit/debit cards work then I don’t see why Hogs can’t.

Might be some tax implications. I know Jazzfest has auditors walking around, but there are probably different reasons for that.

Team Stabbin won the new Piglet division with the best darn ribs and slaw ever assembled. All I need to know.

And the Captain’s legend grows even stronger.....

Really fun but insane amount of work.

I would have been super pissed if I was in your shoes. I also would have enjoyed LL’s thread about how the event needs to get their shite together if she was in your position

I would think they have the system for multiple reasons but a major one is probably so they can declare a fundraising champion the night of the event. I would think team sales goes into that fundraising number, but maybe I am wrong. Couldn't imagine have a money room trying to figure out all that with time constraints.

Reloadable wristband (or tickets, etc) also prevents theft. No cash, no theft. I have personally seen theft at Jazzfest at the beer booth, and I know it has happened at my kids fair. That is why you are seeing a few booths that sell food and drink tickets that you use for payment. Less people handling money....

Right. Disney has billions to throw behind a system that runs flawlessly. Hogs not taking cash is downright silly.
