Wow! That’s incredible. Just from this event?

Correct.

Normal Passes are $50/$60/$99+fees

VIP Passes are $219/$249/$449+fees.

Judge Passes at $80/$95/$170+fees.

Likely a lot of people going Friday but even more on Saturday which is the higher price tickets. Last numbers are for two day passes.

I would imagine that a lot of the alcohol is supplied by companies, so they get the advertising. I'm also guessing the food being brought by people is also at their own dollar.

Raising that money would probably need around 40,000 attendees throughout both days, which seems highly doable for an event like this.

Paying the entertainment probably knocks off a good bit of it, depending on the musicians brought it.

CEO makes over $200,000 per year, but that's not a bad price for someone who is bringing in over $2 million on a single event alone. It's incredibly hard to find people that can raise money like that.

I want to say the money you sell at your booth first goes to paying you back and then what’s left over is charity donations, but I could be wrong on that.

Even if it's pork based food, I imagine it still costs a shite ton to cook for THOUSANDS of people, even if they are competition sample size.

A lot of the teams do fundraisers throughout the year so maybe they don’t take any of their sales from day of.

Sorry, a bit too high at $300 ($60 each) for a family of five

Age 10 and under get in free, if that helps. And when I was 12 I looked 10. Just sayin.

I'll be out there pullin pork butts and making pork/bacon and pimento grilled cheese with the Rugaroux Q. About to head out to work on the booth.

several years ago, team Fleur de Que raffled off a 442 convertible, matching numbers, fully restored similar to this one. 2,500 tickets at $100 each raised $250K , same year they raised a total of $1M. FDQ is very good at fundraising events throughout the year

It’s cool that some people do this for charity. I loathe the dude that makes it their identity. They post about the shite all year long with their clever swine pun name. No one gives a frick.

All money at the booths goes directly to Hogs. Teams can do fundraisers to raise money for supplies/inventory. If no money or not enough is raised it’s out of your pocket. This year you can only pay with your band that has a card attached to the rfid.

Our Lady of the Lake - $2 million Hogs House

February 14, 2023

Thanks to a $2 million donation from Hogs for the Cause, a nonprofit that helps sick children, there will be a place in Baton Rouge for families to wait while their loved ones get better.

“A place to get away to emotionally heal as well,” Becker Hall, co-founder and chief executive of Hogs for the Cause.

The new facility will have 12 bedrooms, a laundry room, and even a full kitchen – all free to residents in need.

As one guy from another team said, “Thursday is the new Friday.”

Maybe not quite, but plenty were set up and cooking and partying already.

Yep
Thursday is the night for the members to wrap up their sites and party.

Friday night is a big party for everyone that has a ticket. It goes til 4am. Musical talent is usually not advertised but often it’s big names

Think they cut donuts in the grass after the awards ceremony.

This year a pretty sweet CJ is up for raffle.

It's a rip off that and the majority of the money used to primarily go to charity. Now a fat chunk of it goes to two guys pockets who've used this event to get famous and enrich themselves. At this point it's outgrown itself and lost it's mission imo

I would think buying a Judge Pass would be the way to go if your focus is on eating. Seems like all the food would be provided for you and it would be the very best selection.
