Can't wait. Weather looks legit finally. I'll be out there Friday night and then out early with the wife judging booths on Saturday. My vote can be purchased with pork and beer. Don't tell Rene.

Man I saw this article on Nola dot com today about some of the booth builds. These things can get pretty elaborate.

Just walk the grounds and see what you like. There are plenty of options (92 teams). I'll post our menu tomorrow.

Bring sunblock. There are no trees or shade.

I'd bring a chair to kick back and relax on.

Pretty sure House of Hogs ships their entire setup from Vegas. The fit and finish is amazing for that short of time period to construct. That airstream lounge is awesome too. The amount of time it takes Fleur de Queu to assemble that triple decker is insane. I am in awe of the time/money/effort those two teams dedicate to the booth builds. Incredibly impressive.

Where did y'all finish last year? That cinnamon roll pork sandwich combo was great.

Last year, Silence of Da Hams were my personal overall favorite. But that was mostly because they had an extra pig from the rainout Friday. They put it out on the table whole and said "Have at it."

Anyone know how many presale tickets have already been sold for Saturday?

I'm thinking it's going to be packed with the perfect weather and new location drawing a lot of the casual fest goers. Plus it seems the local media hype for this year's fest has been greater than any year to date.
