So it seems like the only place to actually buy the beer is within 25 miles of their brewery in Vermont. However, is it available in any bars around that area? Or is it only canned ?

I thought I read a year or two ago that it would soon be available at the good beer bars and liquor stores in Boston

Well that would be great as I'll be in Boston and then driving up to Portland Maine. So hopefully I can find it somewhere

Go to Trillium in Boston and Bissell Brothers and/or Maine Brewing Company when you get to Portland. Plenty of good hoppy stuff in the Northeast.

Just got a bunch of these in a beer trade and looking forward to trying them this weekend. What is yall's experience on peak drinkability? They are about 3 weeks old at the moment and at 40 degrees in the beer fridge.

Drink. Now. Maybe 36 hours left of freshness.

My man just drink it, even if it was 3 months old it would still be better than anything you put in your face

No I definitely get it. I also know some dipas fall off quicker than others. I typically only drink on the weekends, so I have to determine which ones get I want to indulge in...for example I also got a Sip, a Jai, a Fat Juju head hunter, and a Waldo as extras. Guess I'll try to hit up some of these this coming weekend.

I went into Vermont twice, they told me when it comes, there are lines out the door, and it´s gone in a flash.

I was really looking forward to it.

Where to Buy Heady

Heady Spotter

I believe Heady Topper only comes in cans. If you are in the Burlington area it shouldn't be too difficult to locate one at a bar. Last time I was up there it was common to pay $7-8 in a bar for a can.

Maybe when their new brewhouse is complete they will distribute to the Boston area. But for now, if you find it down there, it was probably smuggled into the state and not legally distributed.

Obviously didn't find any Heady Topper where I was, however I went to 5-6 breweries and a decent amount of bars and loved these following beers I tried.
Trillium- Double IPA
Maine Beer Company- Lunch
Bissell Brothers- Lux Rye Ale
Liquid Riot- NSFW
Fore River- Lygonia
eta: And a fresh Allagash white at the brewery is tough to beat

I'm sad my allotment of Heady is going to run out soon. Still have 3 left, will probably be gone this weekend though.
