Haven't they tried this 3 or 4 times?

We went there this weekend. The former owners of Lock and Key are close friends, so I was predisposed to not like the place. (And Lock and Key was doing really well before it closed. Problem is the owners split up, there was a rough divorce and issues with the landlord)
Hayride Scandal is a really good bar. They kept a lot of what worked with Lock and Key and fixed up the decor. It's a lot roomier and more open. There's more of a focus on craft cocktails than just whiskey. They've got some good bartenders there - some faces I've seen at other places, like Olive or Twist and Red Star. Drink prices were about what you would expect $9-$11 for a cocktail. They didn't have much beer. Crowd was good, lot of professional types. Even saw an owner/manager from Olive or Twist holding court there.
