Anybody go there yet? The pics on the piece they are doing on WWL look pretty good.

Just wondering if any the F&DBoarders have gone and what they think. I trust the opinions here more so.

I know I've seen a couple pictures on here by someone who went. Maybe Napoleon?

The pictures looked good on t.v. Didn't look like they came out of a studio or anything. Looks like they were taken right there in the restaurant.

I've got the balls to go. But I just don't think it'll be that good.

C&W that is. Little Korea looks good. Did you get enough to eat? Am I gonna leave hungry?

Been there once and been meaning to go back. Kimchi was great. Also had a dish with meat over the top of sticky rice that was quite good.

The dish you are thinking about is probably Bulgogi. It is marinated beef. Dae Ji Gogi is marinated pork.

I didn't really care for it.

Thought it was way too expensive given the location and setting (a derilict guy wandered in and enjoyed an opened can of sardines he had carried in with him at the table next to me, while I was there).

I just didn't find the food that good either. The little side offerings were very limited. The shortribs dish I got did not have much flavor either.

If you want Korean, hit Korea House in Fat City. It's the bomb.

I was a little disappointed when I Korea House (weird service and wasn't blown away by the food). I thought Little Korea on Claiborne was pretty decent when I tried takeout.

I had great Korean restaurant across from my office when I worked in L.A., so that may have skewed my perception.

bulgolgi or gulbi (marinated sliced beef or marinated beef ribs)

They come with awesome sides. The kim chi is great but the pickled cucumbers in that kim chi sauce is my favorite.

Oh and don't expect superb service. Hopefully for your sake they aren't busy.

Just went to Korean House. Wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Had the sliced beef lunch special, lots of food for $8. I was the only person in the place. Will try it again but probably not any time soon.
