I see Fajitas catering at work in the very near future. Might wait a few weeks for the crew to settle into place.

Just dawned on me that this new Izzo's will be 1.4 miles from one location.. and 2.1 miles from another. Seems like a bit much.

There are other Izzos in town ?

I'm stupid. For some reason, I thought Izzo's was taking over the Popeyes on Jefferson in BR. That's Kolache Kitchen.

Ignore me.

I use them for work often... Catering a fajita bar to clients meetings.... Its typically a hit.

Your clients are tired of it, trust me. It's a hit because it's free and convenient. Try Lebanese once in awhile.

I wouldn't expect it to be as good. I really miss that place.

I agree with Yeazy's initial assessment of Izzo's, but I believe there is more to consider.

We may need to consider a self imposed boycott to send a message that chains are not welcome Uptown. It's time to take a stand and send these mofos back to Baton Rouge & Metaire. First Canes now this....

We can discuss it at the next maven meeting.

I wish we still had Moe's or Baja Fresh.

Moe's is meh but Baja Fresh was pretty solid. As far as options here though I'll always take Izzos over Chipotle or Qdoba.

Say, Mofo, are we just talking about restaurants or general recent inhabitants?

I kind of remember something about them having breakfast tacos. I'd be willing to check that out but I'm just not a fan of the burritos.

Don't think so. At least not here in BR. Fuzzy's has some pretty good breakfast tacos though

Does corporate own mean they will be very strict on portion sizes?

Damn, that sounds awesome. Wish the one on Burbank did that.

I also wish the one here would open up late. Would be great drunk food.

I was walking my dog past there last night and saw that they had placed the tables and chairs on the patio with the tags still on them. I'm wondering if they will still be there this morning?

I seem to recall Popeyes had those outdoor tables BOLTED BOLTED BOLTED down.

BR really has a shortage of late night places. Why do you think this is?

My only guess is that since we aren't an all-night city like New Orleans, there's a shortage of people willing to work that late at night if not in a highly tipped workplace like a bar/the casino.
