I'm 2/3 of the way to being CEO of Canes!

He is a Baton Rouge guy and a large supporter of LSU as well as his old school. He pays homage to his hometown and gets beat up here for being a successful entrepreneur. Why?
And yes he was my cashier at the Sherwood Forest location about a year ago.

Took Business from Baton Rouge to Texas, even though Baton Rouge supported him from day one.
Reduced the number of fingers
the size of fingers and raised prices 25%.

Agreed. I never got the hate for him. I was pissed when they upped the cost and reduced the amount but i might eat canes twice a year. Doesn't affect me much, but I'm definitely cool with a local entrepreneur who made it big.

He moved some of his corporate to Dallas because Dallas is the headquarters of many fast food restaurants and have the ability to make Canes a national brand. He still has an office here and he himself still lives in BR.
He is a very large donor to Baton Rouge Food Bank as well as Baton Rouge Area Foundation. He also gave $2.5 million to Mike the Tigers Habitat. And I saw his wife at Mary Bird with her pet therapy dog yesterday visiting cancer patients as I've seen her about a dozen times before.
And his prices are on par with the industry.

He's also sponsored dog parks and helped with the BR walls project.

As was said above, he moved essential positions to Dallas and it was a smart/necessary move IMO.
His pricing seems to be around industry average. Plus I don't care. I don't eat it.
The guy does A LOT for BR and lives here. It's quite ignorant to bad mouth the guy.

this. You bad mouthing fricks don't even know the half of what Todd and his wife do for the community and the communities where the stores lie. His dog does more for the town in a week than most of keyboard jockeys do in your lives.

The only thing I've seen Graves do is to reduce the number of fingers from five to four.
He did that while working?

Not sure why anyone bad mouths him. The food quality is good and the price is right. If I want consistently good fast food, there's no better place here than cane's.

it's called running a business. think about netflix. they do the same shite. people don't bitch nearly as much when they slightly raise the price. you get the customer, get them hooked, raise prices.
by expanding, he's creating more job in a shitty economy. and he gives back to his community. i personally don't care an overly large amount for canes, but i can respect what he's done.

The people bitching about Graves and those who trip all over themselves to defend him are cut from the same cloth

What?
Providing a reasonable assessment as to why the people of BR shouldn't criticize him is the same as bitching? Whodathunkit.

so he remembers the good old days of Bailey's being WAYYYY better and kicking Cane's arse?
this was well before shrinking the size and number of fingers.
and the price increases.
and the tinier sauce containers.
also before charging for refills.
so a long time ago.
