right now at the piggly wiggly in Hammond there’s probably 200 cases of bud and bud products and 4 cases of jucifer. That’s in Hammond five miles from the brewery. That’s never going to change regardless of how big GB gets.

You’re only selling 4 cases a week at 10 bucks a 6 pack in 90% of retail places. And that goes for grocery stores, gas stations, etc. it’s all I buy but you and I are a minuscule minority.

Look I know you are in Boston however, we are talking Louisiana.... OOT has a happy hour with $5 craft beer but it is usually stuff no one wants to drink. Chimes does not have a happy hour that I know of, Londoner, Willies, etc.... So places in BR (not talking NOLA or other locations) that have a strictly Craft Happy hour I believe would be far and few between like the poster said.

Red Zeppelin's $3 beer nights are probably the best beer deal in the city, considering that goes for about all of the craft taps.

I can't speak to bars, but there are several restaurants in BR that have happy hours that cover local crafts. Hell, City Pork on Jefferson is half price everything.

In Houma I do half off of all of my taps with the exception of Guinness and any higher priced beers (ie Urban South Modillion right now). I was told it was a bad idea and I'm killing it right now without a hit to my beer costs

While the run of the mill domestics hold the volume share, they can't deny what holds the taps share. That's why the big boys buy tap handles now. Beer mandates are a pain my arse.

Can you expand on buying tap handles and beer mandates? Is that not pay-to-play?

I work for a franchise just to clarify. At the international/corporate level deals are worked out so that you have mandated brands on your taps for certain periods of time. I couldn't tell you what the deal consists of. I just know I have to have x,y,z brands on my taps for a certain time frame.

Doesn’t chimes have a happy hour? And as another poster pointed out, redd zeppelin has a good happy hour as well.

Tuesday and Wednesday is $3 draft beer at Red Zepplin. Thursday is $10 premium pitchers
Monday is wine
Friday is margaritas
Saturday martini
Sunday bloody mary

Apparently 4-7 happy hour at Chimes is $1 off all pints, I was totally unaware of that.

Weak happy hour, but it still counts.
