I used to be a bus boy there. It's crazy how people craved that bread and olive oil. It's only there to fatten you up so they can get away with smaller entre`e portions. That's how they getcha!

I’ve never been but try good olive oil, balsamic vinegar, black pepper and Parmesan.

Never had it but I use (good) olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh ground pepper and herb de province. I don't have any measurements. I just eyeball it.

It's easy to make infused olive oil. Get some basic olive oil, you don't have to break the bank on this. Warm it on the stove in a pot to about 190ish. Drop in some fresh herbs, and pepper corns. Simmer that at for 15 minutes, strain and add to a bottle for easy pouring. Key is the fresh herbs, not dry.

I've made this before. It's easy and tastes just like it.

The best bread was LaRivera in Metairie! I don’t know if they made it from scratch or purchased but it was the best. Your post reminds me that I need good bread for dipping oil!
