been clarified before in other threads, but there are no purely Greek restaurants in Baton Rouge. They're all Lebanese/middle eastern owned.

Why does it matter if it's a "chain"

That's what I was thinking. I think the chain hating on here has reached epic proportions.

Lebanon's is the best I have eaten in this region (it's Middle Eastern, not Greek IMO)...the second best was Alladin in Jackson, MS....

I will try a couple more BR places, but Albasha was a hige disappointment.

Where can I get some delicious Greek food in Baton Rouge tonight that is not a chain like Almaza or Albasha?

There are no Greek restaurants in Baton Rouge unfortunately.

The closest is probably Poseidon's in Lafayette.

This times infinity. Unfortunately, this was the last truly Greek restaurant in BR. Always enjoyed going with my Dad who could shoot the shite with Vasilios and his brother in Greek. Got to know them really well. They really gave me top notch treatment when I'd go with a lady friend. Unfortunately, I was not able to impress the ladies by speaking the language.

I've been to Roaman's...they're alright, but I think it's a bit salty IMO.
