A buddy of mine has been raving about a steak he had been having at TJ Ribs for several months, so I tried one with him this week.

I think they call it the HandCrafted ribeye, and he (and I) ordered it Pittsburgh style, which he kindly explained to the waitress, is charred on the outside and rare on the inside.

I had mine medium.

It was very damn good. I enjoyed every bit of the charred texture and the tender inside.

I think it's about $24.

Sorry I'm not any better at describing the taste.

ETA: For the first time ever, I had the green beans as a side. Was super spicy hot. Didn't care for it at all.

But the steak made it All Good.

I use to like their prime rib years ago but had a couple of bad experiences the last few time and haven't been back.

One day I settled in at the bar and the guy next to me was raving about his top sirloin baseball cut. I'm not the biggest fan of sirloin, but I decided to give it a shot and it was pretty darned good. I would get it again.

Also, a medium steak has absolutely nothing to do with Pittsburgh.
