Well looks like I'll be sticking with Commander's. I just thought from people talking it had gone downhill. Her graduation is in August since her internship isn't over until the end of July.

You honestly can't go wrong with Commander's. The service and overall experience is hard to beat and the food is consistently great. Watch "Commanding the Table" on Netflix before you go and you'll really appreciate the restaurant.

Some people were saying that Brennan's had gone down hill before shut down. However, its back and possibly better than ever before.
Commander's is great and special. Good place to celebrate. My wife and I had our first Anny there

Brennan's had been terrible since at least when Ted ousted Pip and ran it into the ground after Katrina. It is only back and better than before because Ralph bought the restauarant at bankruptcy auction and redid the entire operation bringing in Slade Rushing as chef.

Coquette is fabulous, but you would be upstairs with a party of 12 and the ambiance is just okay for a large party celebratory dinner.

To piggyback a bit. A party for 12 in the wine room at Brennan's would be a very nice way to celebrate a PhD. Not that I have one...
