Please give suggestions for places to pick up pre-cooked or frozen meals in the Baton Rouge area? I have a friend who is sick and we are trying to lighten the load on his wife and family by supplying some ready made meals for them.

Thanks F&D friends.

Calvin's chicken salad might be good for them to have on hand for snacking on crackers or quick chicken salad sandwiches for lunch in addition to the other places and foods suggested.

well most knights of columbus groups and VFWs have regular fish or crawfish meals on fridays all during lent so keep that in mind as an alternate choice to mix in

call the local senior center, they have groups that feed the elderly and you can get them on the list for meal deliveries

I still haven't been here and I hear great things.

Not sure where you're located, OP, but Bellue's a few exits down from downtown has great prepared entrees as well.

Definitely add a family sized Stouffers lasagna to the shuffle. Cheap, easy, and nostalgically good.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I might have to pick up a few things to take back home. BTW, he isn’t elderly, just sick so I’m not sure he would qualify for food delivery services.
