I live in Smyrna just west of there.

Here are some of my favorites in the area:
Heirloom Market BBQ
Top Spice (thai food)
Kurioshio (sushi/japanese)
Pheast (Asian food dining hall)
Mezza Luna (Italian)
Stoney River (chain but good)
Taco Veloz
Tasty China
Herb's Rib Shack

Lots do. I’m dragged there frequently and it’s fine.
I grew up in Texas and Superica is ok. Meaning really good in Atlanta.

Tasty China
Used to frequent often when I lived in Smyrna and the original location. Anything hot & numbing is great. El Super Pan at the Battery has excellent cubanos.

I live in DFW so any mexican/tex-mex is out. Also, BBQ needs to be really good as I can got to Terry Blacks in Dallas for a phenomenal beef rib.

Are there any places that would be uniquely Georgia? Non chain would be preferred, but I could also do a good local chain.

Yeah I found out about from a Chinese friend who said it is very authentic Sichuan cuisine. I had no idea that "numbing" was a thing till I ate there.
