wife and I went last year... used that thread as a dining guide

The Rooftop at The Vendue is a nice spot for drinks... 360 degree view of the entire city from the top

Rent some bikes, you shouldnt need a car if you're staying downtown

Edmund's Oast was great- make reservations. The charcuterie and pate were outstanding. Took an uber out there and it worked out great.
Hominy Grill is worth trying, but be prepared to wait.
Plenty of breweries around to check out as well.

Husk is on my bucket list. In fact, I've checked out Sean Brock's book Heritage from the library and I'm currently perusing it.

Do the roasted chicken. I also put the recipe in the RB above.

Brock and Bourdain went a place called Waffle House on TV. You should check it out.

Thank you. I now have the page bookmarked. Seems fairly simple and straightforward.

It is. The cook time may need to be increased a few minutes...the sauce/gravy is well worth the effort.

They're ok. There are better elsewhere. Hominy is awesome for random daily specials and the Charleston Nasty.

Hanks for seafood.
Circa 1886 for fancy
Husk and FIG are also great as mentioned before.
