Vestal is a new place and is fantastic if you're wanting upscale.

What are your "regular" places, if you're wanting new ideas?

I would add I'monelli to that list as well as Cafe Bella. These two are always pretty consistent.

last I heard Social, Charley G's, Pete's, and The Tap Room were still very solid places to eat in town. Marcello's will be just fine

Everything listed above me is a no bullshite answer to to the OP's question.

The only ones that slightly raise an eyebrow are Lagneauxs (I haven't been in 15 years, it was dated then.) and Old Tyme for anything but the shrimp poboy and old tyme special.

I'll throw in Cafe Vermilionville since it hasn't already been mentioned, and Blanchards for BBQ. Mid City Tchop is good BBQ as well.

I’d add Pop’s Poboys and Central Pizza. And I’d also question Lagneaux’s.

Has anyone tried Trapp’s in Broussard?

A few other good casual spots that haven’t been mentioned are Tula Tacos, Spoonbill Watering Hole, and Hideaway on Lee.
