Philay's

I'd rather go to Popeye's than Philays. I don't understand how that place stays open, the food has no flavor.

I wouldn't go to snos. I only ate there once, they brought me and my husbands food out and half of it was still frozen. Won't even consider it again. Mike Andersons on Hwy 30 is your best bet.

I don't believe you. Last two times we went to Mike Andersen's for a large group the wait staff was completely over it's head. Some of the worst service I've ever had.

For a large group and better food Snos is the best answer for Gonzales.

Do yourself a favor and check out Grapevine Cafe and Gallery. It's across the river in Donaldsonville but well worth the short drive from Gonzales

Country Kitchen Butfet at lunchtime

Duckroost for takeout

Kevin’s, Philay’s, Sno’s, Latil’s, or Hilltop for a sitdown dinner with everyone

Well it happened, a question was asked, I gave my honest answer, no reason to call me a liar. It was 10 years ago, my personal opinion is Mike Andersons over snos due to that experience. Saying my food was frozen and yes I mean ice I have nothing else to go on.

i guess this could work if they are looking to party and don't mind the loud music. not sure about a large group sit down dinner.

Snos currently sucks as does on the half shell and Kevin's now... All living on hype from 10 years ago, not sure I've had a "great" meal at any location in years. I've had good meals but at their price points I could go elsewhere and have a good meal

What type of food are you looking for?

Cabin is good food but be prepared for shitty service. Went twice and both times was over 2 hours for 2-4 people and they were not busy

I'd hit Sno's.

They can accommodate the group and they have decent food in a good setting.

then again I moved away 4 years ago so it could be worse now.

I think Roberto's River Road has a room they can handle larger parties in and their food's really good. You'll just have to drive out to St. Gabriel.

Gonzales can be a bit limited.

I had a great meal at Sno’s within the last year. I had the BBQ Shrimp soup and some kind of stuffed shrimp entree and they were both outstanding.
