First time going. Is it a nice place? I was gonna wear a button down shirt but is it casual enough to wear jeans or should I wear khakis?
TIA

Jeans are fine.

Enjoy the view and the overpriced sushi because of the view.

The view is great, the sushi is average. If you want great sushi, go to Sushi Yama. Best sushi in Baton Rouge. If you're lucky, you can catch them when the fatty tuna roll is a special.

Nice jeans, not your pair of faded jeans with dirt stains and big holes

Above average sushi. I went a few weeks ago and my opinion of them has definitely changed. The sashimi app menu is legit.
Kabuki Roll
There is always hot arse in there

Spot on.
John Delgado thinks they have the best steak in BR. I've seen his taste in women though and Meh is being quite nice.

Ya know, Tsunami is the cool place to hate... but the last few times I've been, I've come away perfectly happy with the meal and wondered why people (including myself) shite on Tsunami for so long.

The section of their menu labeled Tsunami Specialties (these aren't rolls) has some very good raw dishes. I think their appetizers are more interesting than most other sushi joints as well.

Prices aren't low, but the two sushi rolls I like best at Yama are $20 each, so..

Yama is my #1 for the sushi itself, but I prefer to go to Tsunami for the atmosphere/view any day over spending $20/roll to eat in a shopping center restaurant. Yama gets an odd crowd too.
