Howdy, F&DB folks. Long time, no talk.

GF and I are headed to NOLA next weekend and we've got reservations for Peche. I've been wanting to try this for months.

What should I get?

Gratzi

The specials. If the GF likes fish id split a whole fish for the table with 3 of the sides.

Thanks

The menu looks so legit that I had planned on just getting a bunch of stuff (small) and trying it all

Definitely. If you get the chance to go back, try some of their whole fish dishes.

Any of the apps or small plates that are specifically worth promoting?

Yes.
ETA: You must order a crudo dish and curried mussels(awesome), I'm partial to the lamb skewer, raw oysters, and smoked tuna dip. The crawfish bisque is good not great, I liked both the ground shrimp pasta and crawfish capellini but they aren't must haves. Also, don't dismiss the sides as they are usually great. I like the beets, and brussel sprout sides.

Check the specials, many items change regularly and are usually worth ordering.

Do a quick search for peche reviews as there are many, several with pics.

Enjoy!
