Mini Pastry Cups with Brie and Cranberry

Get the mini pastry cups from the freezer section at the grocery. They are about 1 1/2” in diameter and have a fluted edge. Not the same as thing puff pastry shells that need to be baked first. Cut Brie cheese into cubes and put one cube in each cup. Top the cheese with a teaspoon or so of whole cranberry sauce. Bake in a 350 degree oven until the cheese is melted.

Stuffed jalapenos.

Cook the bacon first and break them into bits. Fold bacon into cream cheese with some garlic salt and onion powder. Add a thin slice of jack cheese. Cook on the grill.

Always struggled to get the bacon done by wrapping the stuffed jalapenos with the bacon. The bottom would be charred by the time the top of the bacon got donw.

Smoke them over pecan about 225-250. I have 40 of them ready to smoke for a party tomorrow. If the bacon crispness isn’t to your liking kick the temp up to 300 for a few min.

Shrimp cocktail - can be jazzed up if time permits, but never seems to matter... it's gone regardless.

Very similar to mine. Conecuh sausage, cheese with a little heat, and crackers. Pickled veggies if company is coming. Maybe goat cheese with sliced bread.

Cream cheese Japs bacon wrapped

For a simple dip, just a cream cheese log with a bottle of pickapeppa on top.

I make killer salsa and guac.

Can't go wrong with boiled shrimp either.

Mrs Coater has made this one for a couple parties recently. It’s a great combo of sweet and savory. Incredibly easy too

I always go with a nice charcuterie/cheese board. Include various crackers and bread, jam, honey, and some fruits, as well.

Homemade caramel corn. Used to do my grandfathers bourbon balls; but not worth the trouble.

The bourbon balls were an old New England specialty. Half the liquor went in the candies. Half went in whoever was cooking

Answer to question: sanibel shrimp
