I was wandering around the beer section at the grocery store and ran into the Gnarly Barley Fest Bier. I love fest stye beers and I like a couple of Granly Barley beers, so I decided to give this one a try.

Wow, I am very impressed. I find it to be a very well balanced beer, malty with that beer ester that you find in most German lagers.

I don't know if they have made this beer in the past, or if I am new to the party, but this beer is fantastic. If you are a fan of Oktoberfest beers, then I would give this a try.

It’s good stuff. Thanks for the reminder so I can pick some up this year.

I love a good fest bier, but not yet. Too damn hot out.

I saw where they were having a beer dinner sometime next month at Buddies. I’m guessing that’ll be part of the pairings? I haven’t tried it but do like that style. And yes it’s f’n hot!

I don't think it is the "best" but it is outstanding. They don't make one beer that I feel I need to seek out like Parish with DDH Ghost and some of their other hoppy beers but almost everything they do is solid.

Best brewery in the state for me is Parleaux just because everything they have is above average with some outstanding beers.

gnarly barley's great accomplishment is replacing the every-day drinking beer with a vastly upgraded product at a reasonable price.

catahoula common, radical rye and jucifer, easily available in 6-packs at grocery stores and gas stations, at $10/6 max, is a game changer. their tap-only or specialty brews are likewise consistently excellent and sometimes better than that, but it's the "flagship" beers that have made their mark

thats a recipe for sustained success with quality products
