I went to Target today and bought some of Giada's products. I bought the Tomato Basil sauce, noodles, Garlic Parmesan Vinagrette, and the Raspberry vinagrette. I will let yall know how these taste. They also had orzo, bread dipping sauce, pestos, and coffee (besides the actual cookware).

There's only one thing that interests me about Giada de Laurentis.

Well, two actually.

Make it three. If blind items are to be believed, she apparently loves to give head to men who aren't her husband:

The garlic parmesan vinagrette is pretty good. A friend of mine got a bunch of Giada stuff for Christmas, and this was one of them. He said most of the foods he got were pretty good.

I'm not gonna lie LL, her actual cookware is super expensive. IMO Giada can be snobby but she is nowhere near the snobbiness of "I live in the Hamptons and only host dinner parties for gay men and refuse to do Make a Wish for the same cancer patient...twice...Ina Garten" The Paula Deen line was right next to Giada's and was affordable; for comparison's sake:

The Giada 'butter warmer' pan was $18, whereas Paula Deen's was marked down to $12. Same product/purpose, except 2 different FN names.

But Giada's actual food products are relatively inexpensive. The salad dressings & pasta sauces were $2.99 each, and more than likely taste a lot better than Ragu/Bertolli. Sadly the Target I went to (the one in Metairie) didn't have any of the Coffees, but I know the ones in Slidell and B.R. do.

GD's overpronunciation of Italian words and her overly expressive smile make her hard to watch for me. Unless the tv's muted.

+1

Every time she says 'panCHETTa' it makes me want to throw something. BTW I know How to spell pancetta I just spelled it that way for enunciation sake.

This is what annoys me most. I actually don't find her snobby or anything either.. I just find her more annoying.

Your kitchen is not complete until you purchase a Rachael Ray Garbage Bowl.

The fact that people would be stupid enough to buy garbage bowls is terrible.

I found the Rachael Ray "Angel Food Cake" Recipe on Food Network's site. The comments have me loling, especially this one:

Good heavens, woman! THIS is a recipe?! This is middle school home economics. Even when in full "lush" mode, Sandra Lee would have made more of an effort than this. She would at least have stirred in some extra vanilla in to the cream (or at least some vanilla vodka. We all know you're not a baker, but some effort would be appreciated. And, even worse, you don't even advise folks to WASH the berries! Could you please pay a little more attention to detail? You get paid big bucks for this, Rachael, so why do we, your audience, have to clarify all these little points? What's next? Redi-Whip on a Pop-Tart?
