Hell of a deal. Haven’t seen that around Atlanta.

Best I ever find for prime is $3.99 at Sam’s or Costco.

$3.99+ for choice at the grocery stores.

Is it ok to freeze half to cook at a later date?

Kroger has briskets for $1.97 tomorrow. I assume they’re Choice- is it worth the extra cost for Prime or is that a dumb question?

I hate you guys. Here I am, living at Albertson's HQ city, and the best we get is bone in ribeye for $5.99 a pound.

I can’t find that price in the weekly ad- where did you see it?

I just checked through their app, it’s listed in the weekly ad. That’s the best price I’ve seen on prime brisket in a while. Nice looking out op.

Yes. I just smoked the frozen half of one this weekend and it was delicious.

I usually cook the point end and freeze the flat. Don't want to risk it with the point.

No it's not worth the extra cost usually. In this case get it

Opinions will vary, and I am probably in the minority, but I don't think it is. I like a good fat cap on top of my brisket don't need to pay for all the extra marbling inside. Besides the whole idea behind low and slow cooking was that it was a tough piece of meat in the first place.

If you're smoking it, the answer is no not really. If you can get the cheaper, do it.
