I grabbed a couple at the airline/old Hammond location. They only had 2 in the cooler and they didn’t look great so I asked the butcher if they had more. He brought out a buggy with like 4 more in it

Location at Bluebonnet and Burbank had 4 out around 12:30 today, but they ranged from 20 lbs to 17 lbs. Asked the guy at the meat counter and he brought out two - 10 lbs and 12 lbs.

Just wanted to say thanks for the heads up. Scored one on Thursday and cooked it today. It came out great.

Is it ok to freeze half to cook at a later date?

I've done that before with no problems. Same for pork butts when I buy several when they go on sale.

I picked up 2 from over there during the sale. They didn’t have any in the case but they had a bunch in the back. Just have to ask.

is it worth the extra cost for Prime or is that a dumb question?

I typically prefer choice because the point has more than enough fat in it, I don’t need the extra marbling that comes along with a prime cut.

I bought two yesterday and they were both larger than I typically prefer. I normally use choice 10lbers or so but because of the deal I ended up with two 14-16 lbers. I cooked the smaller of the two today and I’m very pleased with the results. If I’m completely honest I don’t believe I would pay a premium for the prime but happily enjoyed these.
